Konna poo is difficult to find in Mumbai, but there is a lane near my office that has a Laburnum avenue of sorts and the flowers bloom at this time of the year looking like yellow showers. I plucked a few sprigs before Vishu and also helped a colleague (A Nemmara Nair) as well. Did not have Vishu, because of a bereavement in the family in the last year, but the fragrant flowers were a nice way to usher in the new year.
I also wove the Vishu into my SENSEX writings... http://riteriterite.wordpress.com/2010/04/15/nature-study-on-the-window-sill/
