  6. Hi Ravi

It is truly said beauty lies in the beholder's eyes. You have vivid imagination and are able to see things which are not meant to be there.

My picture was taken during a special "Bhagavathy Pooja"conducted at home.

  9. Ammupatti, Your blog is wonderful and I make it a point to visit your blog to update myself on all the new receipes and other iyer traditions and delicacies. Please also post the receipe for eggless chocolate and can cake be made without egg and without a baking oven, since I do not have a baking oven. Is it possible to bake a cake in a pressure cooker.

    thanking you,

    namaskaram,

  11. hi ammupatti
    so howz the new year?
i just read in this list of comments some one asking abt the pressurecooker as oven. actually i very vividly remember my sis-in-law had once used a very heavy bottomed vessel or cooker with a very large layer of sand at the bottom, heated it up just like preheating the oven. and then lowering the flame to simmer and keeping the cake tin in it.
in fact my mom also used the same technique recently and had very gud results to show.
i think u can also try it

  12. Hi Kayen

I also distinctly remember the occasion when we together made the cake during Amma's 60th birthday at Puthucode. That was because there was no oven available there.

I think this pressure cooker cake demands a post of its own.

    Regards
